Favorite covers: Jim James, "Everybody's Talkin' "

Two of my great loves, Harry Nilsson and My Morning Jacket, meet.

Maybe not a cover as much as it is a collaboration/remake: My dislike of Pink Floyd is well documented. But I do fucking dig the version of Comfortably Numb where Van Morrison signs with Roger Waters in Berlin that seemed to be the go-to song for gangster epics this year.

As far as straight covers, I'll give a vote for Uncle Tupelo's "No Depression" (Cater Family cover).
